A trooper for God and certainly a man after God's heart.
Brother Fred went home with Jesus on Saturday morning around
10:30.
I have to say how privileged I am to have known Brother Fred and
to be one who was able to share so many precious moments with
him. He was a great teacher, an anointed teacher in fact, and
this ministry was so blessed to have his wisdom and knowledge
amongst us.
His memorial service will be Thursday August 16, 2012. At his
wife's church. This isn’t just any memorial service, this is one
for Brother Fred
I think I can speak for the whole of Living
Waters and say this man was deeply loved and dearly respected by
everyone who came to know his ways.
He was a man like David of the Bible, after God’s own heart.
Fred and I had many talks about life, our walk with the Lord,
and just everyday living. There was such a bond between us, as
with everyone else that knew him.
I know we will have times of sorrow, but I want to encourage
you to rejoice
in knowing that Fred has met the Master, face to face. He
has attained what we should all
be

towards; home at last. I am sure Fred has heard these
words, "enter
into my rest thy good and faithful servant."
As Fred’s Pastor and friend,
and as a Minister of the Gospel, I always had the utmost respect
for this man and I want to encourage everyone in a walk with
Christ the way Fred had done; walk in wisdom and in the love of
Christ. You see, "real" love never
fails...never...and Brother Fred had that type of love!!!
Of course it is a sad time
because we will miss him, but as I said, it is also a time to
rejoice…you see, Fred has gained something we are all striving
for and that is eternity with our Savior. To be absent from the
body is to be present with the Lord, and that is what gives
comfort, especially in times like today. We all have such
good memories. I just want to also say, "Thank you Tammy
for allowing Fred to be such an integral part of our lives and
our ministry here at Living Waters."

I just want to share some things on this page that are very note
worthy. Things I've learned from Brother Fred, and I know
he would have loved for me to share these with you as well.
As you know, our Assistant Pastor had been
walking with the Lord for many, many years. In doing
this, he had a wealth of knowledge to share. We need
to take some advice from this Man of God and put these
things into practice in our daily lives. These are
framed and will be hung in the sanctuary in memory of Pastor
Fred. |
